Why Barack Obama? By Go Solar Power For Homes Dot Com

Today, Tuesday, 4 November, 2008, is an historic day. It is the day a crucial election will take place. It is a day when the U.S. people must make a choice. Having weighed up all the pros and cons, we, at Go Solar Power For Homes Dot Com, find ourselves in full support of Barack Obama, the Democratic party candidate.
Under the Republican, George W Bush, we have seen eight failed years that started with a dubious electoral count, a devastating attack on the World Trade Centre and the invasion of Iraq. This appalling presidency has ended, perhaps fittingly, with a $700 billion bill, the cost to the American people for system-wide endemic government mismanagement.
Here are some reasons why Go Solar Power For Homes Dot Com support Mr Obama:
Barack Obama has outlined his New Energy for America plan in which he promises he will:
* Provide short-term relief to American families facing pain at the pump
* Help create five million new jobs by strategically investing $150 billion over the next ten years to catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future.
* Within 10 years save more oil than we currently import from the Middle East and Venezuela combined.
* Put 1 million Plug-In Hybrid cars — cars that can get up to 150 miles per gallon — on the road by 2015, cars that, if possible, will be built in the U.S.
* Ensure 10 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025.
McCain meanwhile has presented his response, the Lexington Project, an energy manifesto that he describes as an ‘All of the Above’ Energy Solution that will:
* Expand domestic oil and natural gas exploration and production
* Commit $2 billion annually to advancing “clean” coal technologies
* Construct 45 new nuclear power plants by 2030 with the ultimate goal of eventually constructing 100 new plants
Barack Obama has an energy policy that looks forward with structured plans that are thought through. McCain’s policy is a reflection of the past with no constructive thought for the future, leaving unanswered questions like “Where will the nuclear waste be stored?” and “Why not get behind renewable energy?”
Seems like McCain is as tightly tied in to the fossil fuels sector as the Bush family. The world simply does not have time any longer for such indulgences.
Here’s a couple of videos from Barack Obama. We think you should take a look:
