. You have to start with geotermal heating and air. you can get 60 % away from the man with that. Then go to missouri wind and solar hook yourself up with a couple 1000 watt windmills. and then buy a few 200 watt solar panels and start adding a few every year. Instal all of it yourself. If you live in the city your screwed move on and keep paying the man. This is not for small lots. Put the geo thermal in yourself to. ingrams has a non pressurized system for 7 thousand.

No one alternative energy production scheme is going to provide 100% of your needs this is why you MUST evaluate the resources of your area. For example here in the Des Moines, Iowa area wind is our principle green energy resource followed by sun. There are a few but not many cloudy, windless days. We in the midwest, are considered the Saudia Arabia of wind power generation. When a system is constructed where the components complement eachother then you have the best of both worlds!
@captainmorgan789 it costs the same as it normally would to run your utilities. If it rains too much where you are at you might find a generator for a creek if u live next to one or look into wind power.

If you can be creative and clever you can figure out all sorts of ways to create your own energy.
It might not power your whole house constantly without you having to make some minor lifestyle changes concerning how you use electricity, but if you do this you do it for the environment not for yourself and not to “stick it to the man”.

@Donovancs1 – I agree! I am so sick of hearing these great programs the government has made for government buildings to go green yet I have yet to see 1 solar pannel atop an airport or municipal building! makes me sick! I think it’s up to us to show them how it’s done.

This has to be one of the top 3 commercials I’ve ever seen.
we only cant capture that energy because the goverment does not approve of it. if we could capture that energy we could use itfor thousands of years. we arent advancing due to our goverment and money system. we could make it if world domination wasnt happening now.

Excellent Commercial. The property built by Sky Developments, The Green House, produces 130% of it’s energy requirement from solar & air sources. This means the owners get a cheque back from the energy provider.

As i see it you put solar panels on rooftops and deserts and put wind turbines on top of hills and mountains, youll never run out of energy.
