President Obama Opens the Door to Clean Energy Economy
Posted on 2009 under Uncategorized | No Comment2 Jul
In President Obama’s speech to the nation on July 27, 2009, he praised the recent historic energy legislation passed by the House of Representatives.
The legislation, he said, will help America create green jobs, ensure clean air for our children, move towards energy independence and combat climate change.
Listen to this speech. At Go Solar Power For Homes Dot Com, we continue to be impressed by his stand for these issues. It seems appropriate, for now, to be taking time to study the lie of the land, or dipping a tentative toe in to see just how hot the water is. Sometime soon, however, serious action will be needed.
There will no doubt come a time when we must get alongside Obama and support him to keep this radical program going in the face of the traditional conservative forces that back up the fossil fuel industries. they are still getting HUGE subsidies … masses more government based benefits than the alternative energy resources.
A level playing field in this issue will have to be the minimum if we are to avert the impending climate crisis. Positive discrimination in favor of alternative clean energy is what we stand for here. Will the President go that far for the sake of the future, or will he concern himself with winning the next election?
We shall see. Anyway, here’s what he had to say. Enjoy!
