Poll: Do you believe in climate change, and what serious actions should we take?

The French government last month criticized the United States and Canada for being too slow, saying they needed to do more to tackle greenhouse gases. against climate change, it seems Europe is accepting the face that we cause this to happen. now we must to everything we can to stop global warming
Sweden has agree, the US must take action against climate change
ARE, Sweden (Reuters) – Sweden, which currently holds the European Union presidency, urged the United States on Thursday to move faster to tackle climate change ahead of a major environmental summit in Copenhagen later this year.
Andreas Carlgren, Environment Minister for Sweden, told journalists at a meeting of EU energy and environment ministers that he welcomed U.S. President Barack Obama’s efforts to fight global warming but called on the United States to do even more.
"We welcome that the ambitions have changed dramatically compared to the previous administration, but still we expect more and we need more," he told reporters at a mountainside meeting held in central Sweden.
Sweden took over the six-month presidency of the European Union earlier this month and is helping to pave the way for tough talks on a major climate deal in Copenhagen this December which would replace the Kyoto Protocol after it expires in 2012.
It warned that Canada and the United States were not on course to cut emissions by the level needed, making it difficult for rich nations to meet the 25-40 percent collective reduction in greenhouse gases recommended by a U.N. climate panel.
Carlgren said it was encouraging that a bill which seeks to reduce U.S. emissions 17 percent by 2020 and 83 percent by 2050 from 2005 levels had already been approved by the House of Representatives and was on its way to the Senate.
But European member states have already agreed to slash carbon emissions by at least 20 percent by 2020 from levels in 1990.
"We see within that bill the possibilities of raising the ambitions, and we are really urging our American friends to raise their bids and make sure that they can commit to more," he said
"The EU has so far put 20 percent on the table but we want that to go higher and we want to bring others with us," he said.
The United States, the world’s second-biggest emitter of greenhouse gases after China, signed but never ratified the Kyoto Protocol, a climate treaty to be renewed in global talks culminating at the Copenhagen conference.

Well considering that 80% of what scientists are saying about global warming has been debunked, I’m not to wooried. If you pay for a study, you can tailor the results however you want. Al Gore has to issue a disclaimer before lectruing about his book so that ought to tell you something about the "science" behind global warming. I agree we need to do what we can, but what about India, Pakistan, China, these places dont care! Do you think that we will have good air and ozone if we spend billions of dollars to cut our emissions? I hate to tell you, but air circulates.

Too slow for what? Responding to the new ICe Age predicted by scientists in late 1970s? perhaps Climate Change/warming will swamp us yet, but I recall when the birds were going to disappear, too ("Silent Spring"). Let’s encourage solar power and walk once in a while, and limit pollution (all nice things), but slow down the apocalyptic talk, please.

it’s to late to do anything about it now. lets just keep going as we are and let some one else worry about it tomorrow

I believe in climate change, but it is less clear that it is caused by humankind.

Do believe -but don’t agree that human beings can change it -we have no power over the mighty mother nature.and as far as the polar bears go ,Do you realize they are the only animals on the face of the earth that actually hunts man -yeah that’s cute

To this conservative, climate change is real but natural. I don’t think there’s much for us to do except help the polar bears who are stranded on icebergs. It was even warmer in the past; during the dinosaurs’ time, there were palm trees in Alaska!

Yes I believe in global warming. It has happened many times over the life of our planet. So has global cooling.
Man has no control what so ever over these naturally occuring climate shifts.
