“Participants came from nearly 80 different countries and contributed with more than 1400 scientific presentations.”

“This report has been critically reviewed by representatives of the Earth
System Science Partnership (ESSP)ii, by the parallel session chairs and co-chairs, and by up to four independent researchers from each IARU university. This extensive review process has been implemented to ensure that the messages contained in the report are solidly and accurately based on the new research produced since the last IPCC Report, and that they faithfully reflect the most recent work of the international climate change research community.”

“The scientific evidence today overwhelmingly indicates that allowing
the emission of greenhouse gases from human activities to continue
unchecked constitutes a significant threat to the well-being and
continued development of contemporary society.”

Looks like a good summary of the basics. For example,

“With unabated emissions, many trends in climate will likely accelerate, leading to an increasing risk of abrupt or irreversible climatic shifts.”

“Temperature rises above 2°C will be difficult for contemporary societies to cope with, and are likely to cause major societal and environmental disruptions through the rest of the century and beyond.”

“Inaction is inexcusable.”

Crazy alarmist doomsday cult. Where do the scientists come up with this stuff?

I’d say it’s time to move beyond the physical sciences and get into the psychology of it. What will it take to get people to act?

That’s not science. Hopefully it’s the last chance for alarmists to cry wolf one more time.

Fool you once shame on them, fool you over and over again, shame on you and your fellow alarmists.

Just to take a tiny bit of the report:
"Recent observations show that greenhouse gas emissions and many
aspects of the climate are changing near the upper boundary of the IPCC range of projections."

So the recent cooling is now at the upper range? What a joke. The sea level chart is to fool the gullible and amateurs. They can put whatever they want on their predicted rise. What is important to note is that recent sea level rise is consistent with previous trends. We are in a natural warming trend and have been for hundreds of years. Is it surprising to alarmists that the ocean should be rising. Let me give you a hint. Most of that rise is due to expansion. None of it is particularly harmful or unexpected unless you carelessly built in a hazardous area. It is just more junk science from political hacks as would be expected.

That someone would dismiss this as political illustrates that some people will never believe in research and science regardless of what is placed in front of them.

I am not aware of the reputations of all the Universities that put their names on the front cover of the report. But of those I know, when I see Yale, California and Oxford, I take note. The credibility is undeniable.

Even if Dana is right about 2 degrees C, society has seen swings that big before.
