Obama retreats on climate change
SINGAPORE — President Barack Obama and other world leaders agreed today that next month’s much-anticipated climate change summit will be merely a way station, not the once hoped-for end point, in the search for a worldwide global warming treaty.
The 192-nation climate conference beginning in three weeks in Copenhagen had originally been intended to produce a new global climate-change treaty. Hopes for that have dimmed lately. But comments by Obama and fellow leaders at a hastily arranged breakfast meeting here on the sidelines of an Asia-Pacific summit served to put the final nail in any remaining expectations for the December summit.

In the US, Manmade Global Warming is declining in importance because of decade long cooling and recently published climate science by MIT’s Dr. Richard Lindzen and Dr. Roy Spencer, who have shown that the IPCC models are WRONG, and that the temperature forecast by them is grossly in error.

Democrats do this. They whip some non-issue up into a frenzy, try to create a panic, heroically show up with the elixir and ride that wave of popularity into office.
Al Gore tried it with global warming and failed. Now President Obama is trying it with health care, and so far he’s seeing lukewarm results at best.
And to my "assistant" above, this is not the first time in our planet’s history that the glaciers have receded. While you’re pointing that out, can you also discuss the fact that farmland is being revealed as the Greenland ice sheet melts?

No, people are burying their head in the sand. Anyway, we will all be dead when we face these problems so if it is ok with you it will just be passed to your kids and grandkids. NOW THAT IS THE STAND UP THING TO DO, for global warming by scientists and all of us is a fact. Have you looked at the North yet and seen the GLACIERS MELTING LIKE CRAZY?

If you were rational, you’d look at the daily news. The Australian coast is going under water because of rising ocean levels, and there are swarms of jellyfish in strange places, linked to climate change. There are also droughts in once fertile regions. People’s crops are failing. That’s just today.

climate change is real, whether you believe it or not, and there are other channels to watch besides clusterfox news, like the science channel, the discovery channel, the green channel, all of whom disagree with you. Oh, and if it’s okay, i’ll agree with their facts, not yours.

Sorry Jimmbbo, graphs and actual science are too intense for the Inconvenient Truth and other Holywood (sp on purpose) crowds. Algore has invested too much of their money in snake oil for them to give up yet.

Yes, but only because some people actually look at facts and are not just sheep who believe everything the government or the media tell them. Even as we laugh at them over the same "global cooling" scare in the 1970s, that was also backed by graphs and other facts, they can only respond with "well this time, it’s real!"
"The sky is falling" is a classic liberal tactic to push an agenda. Welfare was supposed to help end poverty and crime. Woops. Abortion was made legal because so many were "dying in back alleys" and we would only have children who are wanted. Woops.
Adolf Hitler was so right when he said "What good fortune for those in power that people do not think." Clearly, he was referring to the liberal sheep who base decisions on feelings instead of research and facts.
