Even though the United States is suffering through a harsh recession there are still places that are not only doing well but they are also creating new jobs for the American people. People are starting to rely more on residential solar power and the increase in sales for diy solar panels has helped increase the size of the solar sector. As the need for solar power for homes increased so did the need to make solar panels to keep up with the growing demand and thanks to that it helped give seventeen thousand people new jobs.
The growth year for solar energy was increased by at least thirty-seven percent as the industry added new installations totaling up to 441 megawatts and made one point four billion dollars which was a large increase in annual revenue. While the oil and coal industries suffered and tried to lobby the government the solar sector has not only kept support from the White House and the states’ governments, but the support has even increased. In fact the support twill likely increase as so far the solar industry supports an average of forty-six thousand jobs in the United States and it is predicted to grow to at least sixty thousand by the time the year is out.
