Coral reefs are the most biologically diverse habitats of the oceans and face extinction due to climate change by 2050 … We’re hoping that the politicians and heads of state who attend the UNEP 2009 climate change conference in Copenhagen will make positive amendments to global environmental policy and help save coral reefs and ultimately protect the amazing planet we live on.

    im not saying im …
im not saying im right, but i study climate change at university as part of my degree. earth is warming, until a threshold point here we being the next ice age. 4 dgrees warmer then we are now gives a 60 percent chance of the oceanic conveyor stopping =no gulf stream =start of next ice age. as u can gather, this isnt good. however, its not us humans doing this as such, its the natural factors eg Malankovich theory, sun spots etc. so Many factors, we are but one and we do little to effect climate

    Not really, where …
Not really, where do you think the moisture comes from- hence why the CO2 increase. Its a round about problem.

    So then global …
So then global warming is good for the reefs, the hotter the water the less CO2 can be disolved in it.

    Frank,

    Its been …
    Frank,

Its been scientifically proven by the Australian Marine Centre at the Great Barrier that it is conclusively CO2 saturation. They have been aware of this longer than the Global Warming issue. Its not toxic waste. The CO2 is acidifying the ocean.

    Viper3,

    IN reply …
    Viper3,

IN reply to ‘Do you think once the Global Tax on carbon is imposed it will change things?’

Where I am , we don’t have a tax we have rebates because we are net consumers of CO2.

    Actually forests …
Actually forests only consume about %8 of the worlds Co2- the oceans do the rest- and they are suffering from saturation. If there was no CO2 in the atmosphere the plants wouldn’t die- they would freeze as CO2 holds more moisture which in turn means more temperature.

    you’re sooo blind! …
you’re sooo blind! I’m not even talking and care about the money! I’m talking about the little thing we as human could do to contribute the safety of our planet! And like i said in my comment i feel shame sometimes for being human and for people like you that always find some way to be and say negatives things and not try to change and be part of the solution!

    im quoting text …
im quoting text books for people studying climate change at univsersity. im pretty sure these txt bbok athours care little for politics etc. and most of the scientific work argues for there points, which is that humans do effect climate change, just not as great as people speculate, infact we effect it very little in terms of the overall enviromenal factors

    any one in here …
any one in here really think those coral reefs are damaged by CO2 ?

Or could it be there is just to much chemical damaging, nothing to do woth CO2 and toxic waste dumping in the oceans. Maybe we should do something about that instead making money of CO2. Research Cap & Trade and never believe any political lies.

    Look millions of …
Look millions of years of accumulating fossel fuels, – and we have burned it all in 100 years

Do you think it’s too quick?

Where are we going to get all the energy from when 1l of petrol will cost 10-100 dollars?

My answer is HHO and NanoSolar

    When the did I …
When the did I say climate wasn’t colder in that past? Don’t make up
Look back in the comments and find an example of when I said “climate wasn’t colder in the past”. You idiot
It’s sad to see people who still act as ignorant as you
And I’m not ignorant in any way
    fuck off
