I remember I found this company that would install a solar power system on your house and then give you a per watt fee every month. If I go over my available watts on my solar power system, then I would just get it from the power company. I am wondering if this company is still around. Does anyone know?
There are companies that still do this with PPA’s. Power Purchase Agreements means that the company will install and facilitate the solar panel system, but then the customer agrees to buy power from them. Tioga Energy uses PPA. They install and facilitate the solar panels and the customers only have to pay for the power generated. Your should check out their website at tiogaenergy.com.

No such company is functioning in the world.

My knowledge.
That is an interesting business plan, but here is why it may not exist any more:
Tax incentives are for business and home owners only( not to the business that installs the system)
The system is typically covered by homeowners insurance when owned by the customer( it would cost a company big bucks to do this)
The company would probably have to bill for 30 years to make a profit. ( most people dont even stay in one house for that long)
Anyhow, If you would like to learn more about soler electric check out:

SolarCity had such a plan. And I believe Akeena was starting to offer something like that. The installation is not completely free, but is just a fraction of what it would otherwise be.
Generally, it’s a loan from a 3rd party, that is paid off by your monthly utility payments. My guess is that the electric rate you pay with such a plan is higher than you would pay today, but does not increase with time. I’m not a big fan of these plans, as the financing company must make money, so it would ultimately not be as good a deal for you as if you bought the system outright.
